Peace Be Unto Those Who Follow Right Guidance.
I am sure that a number of those who follow this blog have been wondering whether I will be commenting on the death of the "King of Pop", Michael Jackson, from an Islamic counter-Racist perspective.
While this is, of course, possible - and probably desirable, if not necessary - I would prefer at this time to point readers to some of the more interesting and, IMHO, important materials already out there on the web that shed somewhat different light on the phenomenon that was the "King of Pop".

In this part of the interview, NOI (Nation of Islam) leader, Minister Louis Farrakhan refers to Jackson's increasing political maturity and the fact that the system of Racism (White Supremacy) viewed him (MJ) as ultimately nothing more than a "nigger".

Although the attribute "freak" is offensive from an Islamic counter-Racist perspective, I find the idea of MJ as a person who turned from a black man into a white woman significant from a power-relations perspective. Black Male -> White Woman = Racist (White Supremacist) emasculation/feminisation of the black [=non-white] male (victim).
